ON DEMAND this February, we’ve got Series 1–3 of hit US crime drama The Mentalist available to watch.

From 2 February you can enjoy all 23 episodes from both Series 1 and Series 2. Plus, all episodes in Series 3 are released through February and March, the first eight also available from 2 February.

The Mentalist stars critically acclaimed actor Simon Baker, who’s been nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in the lead role of Patrick Jane. Jane is a ‘psychic medium’, working as a consultant to the California Bureau of Investigation alongside Special Agent and leader of the Serious Crime Unit Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney). Together they work to solve crimes, often using Jane’s unorthodox methods.

As a twist, Jane doesn’t actually believe in ‘psychic’ powers – much like ‘psychological entertainer’ Derren Brown, he has powerful observational skills, a deep insight into human behaviour and finely honed skills in cold reading, pickpocketing and hypnotism, and it’s these skills he uses in his crime-fighting.

The Mentalist also has an emotional undercurrent as Jane’s real motive is to use these police connections to help find ‘Red John’, the psychopath who killed his wife and daughter.
