The year 2009 turned out to be yet another cracking one in MotoGP. Despite some sterling efforts from both Casey Stoner and Jorge Lorenzo, who powered to four wins each, the peerless Valentino Rossi was supreme champion yet again, taking his tally of MotoGP World Championship triumphs to a staggering seven.
