Catch Dusty Springfield in her sell-out 70s comeback show
Witness legendary 60s pop icon and white soul stylist supreme Dusty Springfield live at her sell-out 1979 London comeback concert on Vision Music now.
Performed in front of a full house and in the presence of Princess Margaret, Dusty’s Royal Albert Hall show was a critical triumph – reigniting her reputation as arguably Britain’s greatest female pop voice ever after she’d spent most of the decade living reclusively in LA and struggling with substance abuse.
Performing for almost two hours, Dusty runs through all her classic 60s hits, including the showstopping You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me and the driving Southern soul of Son Of A Preacher Man. She also whips the audience into a frenzy with covers of contemporary hits of the day, including Sister Sledge’s We Are Family and Grace Jones’ disco diamond On Your Knees, and an emotive encore of Quiet Please, There’s A Lady On Stage.
