There’s a full-blown storm in a chicken suit when a sports mascot makes it to the top of the high school pecking order, in the teen rom-com Hatching Pete, showing right now on Vision Kids.

It’s no poultry matter when Cleatus Poole discovers he’s allergic to the school mascot’s chicken costume, and to save face he convinces his shy best friend Pete Ivey to swap places and secretly wear the outfit at a basketball match.

But when the chicken’s outrageous antics are a huge hit with the whole school, Cleatus ends up getting all the credit – and a date with sassy cheerleader Jamie.

Pete suspects fowl play, but can he stop being a chicken and break out of his disguise? And can he prove he’s not a high school nobody, save his friendship, and win the heart of new girl Angela, in this brilliantly upbeat tale of teenage traumas?
