The best of Freeview TV this weekend

Gordon Ramsay's Cookalong Live on Freeview TV

As well as bringing you an unrivalled selection of On Demand viewing, BT Vision also offers you the best of current TV through the 40+ Freeview channels available through your V-Box.

This weekend you can join top chef Gordon Ramsay with his Cookalong Live (Friday, 9pm, C4) – follow his live on-screen instructions, and you can cook a three-course meal in real time.

Little Britain USA (Friday, 9.30pm, BBC1) features new and established characters from the brains of comic duo Matt Lucas and David Walliams — but this time set in USA.

Some of the sketches are not for the faint-hearted, but fans of the show will love the new surroundings and the risqué humour that comes with it.

There’s further comedy on offer in the more family-friendly Harry Hill’s TV Burp (Saturday, 7.15pm, ITV1), in which the top UK comic takes a hilarious alternative look at the week’s best telly.

They’re down to the final ten contestants in The X Factor (Saturday, 7.45pm, ITV1), and this week the hopefuls will be looking to impress the judges in big band night, where the theme of all the performances will be swing music.

Finally, there’s great period drama with a new adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Little Dorrit (Sunday, 8pm, BBC1).

Matthew Macfadyen and Claire Foy star in this superbly drawn rags-to-riches-and-back-again tale. It satirises the inadequacies of government and society during the mid 19th century — with lashings of romance for good measure.
