John Sergeant’s last dance and more on Freeview TV this weekend

Strictly Come Dancing on Freeview TVNot only does BT Vision offer a huge variety of On Demand viewing, it also brings you the best current TV shows with 40+ Freeview channels available through your V-Box.

The tenth round of Strictly Come Dancing (Saturday, 6.20pm, BBC1) comes in the wake of John Sergeant’s shock resignation from the show.

“The trouble is that there is now a real danger that I might win”, he said in a statement. “Even for me that would be a joke too far.”

John and partner Kristina Rihanoff will appear one last time to perform a farewell dance.

It’s Take That week on The X Factor (Saturday, 7.25pm, ITV1) and the boys themselves perform live. With favourite Laura White voted off by the judges and Daniel Evans finally out of the way, six contestants remain –- but not for long.

You can also enjoy warm-hearted sitcom Gavin & Stacey (Friday, 9.30pm, BBC1). As series two of this Bafta-winning show makes its BBC1 debut, newlyweds Gavin and Stacey try to settle into married life.

Finally, Life on Mars’ John Simm and The Wire’s Dominic West star in new costume drama The Devil’s Whore (Saturday, 9.05pm, C4), set during the turbulent English Civil War period. There’s revolution brewing in the first episode of this rollicking historical romp.
