Got a question? Check out our FAQs below to help get you started:
How does the BBC iPlayer service differ from the previous BT Vision Replay service?
The previous BBC Replay service on BT Vision offered 50 hours of programming a week, while the BBC iPlayer service offers almost ten times as many programmes from radio and TV.
How long does content stay available on BBC iPlayer for?
Normally, programmes are available to view or listen to for seven days after broadcasting on Freeview. Some can be available for longer though, sometimes up to a month (each show has an ‘available until’ note on it).
I’m watching on a high-definition TV – is there anything I need to do?
To experience the full benefits of high-definition TV for all of the programmes available on your BT Vision service including BBC iPlayer, you need to connect your Vision+ box to your TV using an HDMI cable.
There’s a black frame around the picture. How can I fix it?
If you can see a black frame around the edge of the picture or if the picture looks like it’s falling off the edge of the screen, you may need to check the aspect ratio settings on your Vision+ box.
To do this, go to Settings > TV Settings > Screen Aspect Ratio. There are four options to choose from, so you can select the setting that is right for your TV. If necessary, check your aspect ratio settings on your TV too – refer to your TV’s instruction manual for details.
